“SOAR Academy is an answered prayer for families with children with special needs. It is just a wonderful environment for children to learn and develop confidence in themselves. Two years ago Geremy was crying everyday and didn’t want to attend school. Now he wants to go to school and loves every minute of it. Before SOAR Academy family members had to carry Geremy everywhere because he was unable to walk. The two years of integrated therapy Geremy has received at SOAR has him walking with almost no assistance. Geremy’s successes have really boosted his self-confidence. Also, there is nothing like having peace of mind when your child is at school, and I have great peace while Geremy is at SOAR.”

Since Mary Kate started attending SOAR more than a year ago, she has made great progress. Now, she’s talking in sentences, and her social skills are greatly improved. Because of this, my family has been able to communicate with her more effectively. Every day when I pick her up, she has a smile on her face, and her teachers tell me what a great day she has had. She’s reading, writing, counting, and doing what kindergarteners are supposed to do! All of the staff at SOAR love the children and love what they do. They have gone above and beyond my expectations, such as working on toilet training and even helping to keep a patch on her eye, which is not easy for an active 5 year old. They have advised us on her developmental needs and have given us direction. My family is truly thankful for all that SOAR Academy has done. ~Jan B., Mary Kate’s mother~

“As a parent you always wonder if you are doing enough. As a parent of a special needs child you know without a doubt that you are not doing enough. Physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, integration of the three within normal everyday life. How do you do it? You can't - and there is not a "Parenting of special needs children book for dummies". But there is one special place that does every thing for my child that I am not able to do...SOAR Academy. My child has achieved so much success at SOAR. The time, love and patience that the teachers and assistants give is above and beyond anything that you expect. The expectations are high, the curriculum rigorous, and my child loves every minute of it. Not only does he get the therapies that he needs all under one roof, but he gets constant help and encouragement from the dedicated staff. They are always there to help with advice on anything from potty training to music enrichment within the home. My heartfelt thanks and admiration goes out to the staff at SOAR. We love you as much as our son does." ~William and Elizabeth J., Silas' parents~
